Only a fool would buy into the official “accident” DIKTAT. There is no proof whatsoever in any report that proves it was an accident other than the word of Israel and her paid “Israel First” agents” like A. Jay Cristol, Michael Oren, et al. They couldn’t sink USS Liberty, thus it had to become an accident. My ass it was an “accident”. The surviving IDF pilots and IDF Nay MTB crews have never been interviewed publicly under oath to this day and they are still forbidden to. Why such secrecy for an “accident”? The truth would end this whole controversy in a news cycle instead of the constant bad PR of the Liberty murders that has existed for 42 years. Because it wasn’t an accident and it has become something worse. Who really believes that the crap that comes out of our Government’s mouthpieces is 100% trustworthy, honest or moral? From the manufactured Gulf of Tonkin to the “certain” WMD’s that were in Iraq but weren’t and a Wall St. -Fed bailout that was originally sold to buy out “toxic loans” but didn’t and a dishonest corporate media that “goes along to get along”. LBJ would be proud.
Not one damn shred of proof, Israel and the US government have modified their versions many tines, record and tapes are still “sealed” or now “missing”. Just what do they fear from an investigation if was an accident? Pearl Harbor was investigated by Congress three times. The crew of the USS Lberty are still waiting to tell their story.

“On May 2nd, 1967, the U.S. Navy intelligence ship Liberty sailed from Norfolk on a routine patrol of the African coast. Five weeks later she was suddenly and overwhelmingly attacked in international waters by the air and naval forces of Israel. Her decks were strafed with machine fire and scorched by napalm/ She was crippled by rocket and torpedo damage. Her life rafts, readied for survivors, were machine gunned in the water. Thirty-four of her crew died. Scorers were seriously wounded.
The U.S. fleet, positioned nearby, received a distress call from the U. S. S. Liberty, and one carrier dispatched a squadron to go to the defense of the disabled ship. Before the aircraft reached the Liberty, they received orders from Washington directing their return to their ship. Who issued such orders? So far, no one knows. And he united states all the information available to the U.S. govern me indicating those who participated in controlling this operation from Washington, together with the exact text of orders transmitted to the Mediterranean fleet, has never been made public.
This was during the presidency of Lyndon Johnson.

Five weeks later she was suddenly and overwhelmingly attacked in international waters by the air and naval forces of Israel. Her decks were strafed with machine gun fire and scorched by napalm; she was crippled by rocket and torpedo damage; her life rafts, readied for survivors, were machine gunned in the water. Thirty-four of her crude died; scores were seriously wounded.
Even before the wounded were evacuated, a news lid went down over the entire episode. This story was not to be told. Then Navy’s own failures were never exposed or acknowledged, and Israel’s fragile alibi was nurtured and protected. Israel claimed that the ship was at fault for being near the coast, for “trying to escape” after being fired upon by jets, and for not informing the Israeli government of her location; and our government tolerantly kept those assertions from public knowledge. Israel claimed that the attack resulted from mistaken identity, and our government quietly excepted that excuse.
Three weeks after the attack, the Pentagon released the lengthy Summary of Proceedings of the Navy Court of Inquiry, but though report added little to the public knowledge and it failed to fix blame.
Complaints came from everywhere.
“The published [report] leaves a good many questions unanswered,” said the New York Times.
“This naval inquiry is not good enough,” said the Washington Post.
“They Must Have Known… that Liberty was an American ship,” said the Washington Star.
“… the action was planned in advance,” said Drew Pearson and Jack Anderson. [Washington post]
“Only the blind– or the trigger happy— could have made such a mistake” said the national observer.
“… the attack… was delivered,” said California congressmen Craig Hosmer. “Those responsible should be court Marshall on charges of murder…”
“How can this be treated so lightly? What complaint have we registered?” Demanded Mississippi’s Thomas G. Abernathy.
“The story has been up,” said Louisiana’s John R.. Rarick.
Despite the outcry, the public affairs apparatus of the defense department succeeded in keeping most of Liberty Truman away from the press. Without witnesses to interview, the press had no story to tail.
Little more was printed anywhere about the Liberty affair. The crew soon dispersed and the ship was the deactivated. I began taking notes, interviewing and corresponding with other survivors of the attack, and piecing together this story of what really happened on an around June 8, 1967.
It is written down in history as “it was a case of mistaken identity.” Bullshit! Israel does not want anybody, including the U.S. messing with any thing that Israel does. Israel feels its’ self proclaimed right to existence supersedes that of any thing or anyone else.
“At the time of the attack, the U.S.S. Liberty was flying the American flag and its identification was clearly indicated by large white letters and numerals on its hull. It was broad daylight and the weather conditions were excellent. Experience demonstrates that both the flag and the identification number of the vessel were readily visible from the air. At 1450 hours local time on June 8, 1967, two Israeli aircraft circled the U.S.S. Liberty three times , with the evident purpose of identifying the vessel. Accordingly there is every reason to believe the Liberty was identified, or at least nationality determined, by Israeli aircraft approximately one hour before the attack.”

Point 7: Comment– it is inconceivable that either the IDF Navy or Air Force would associate Liberty, with her for 50 caliber machine guns for the El Qusier, armed with two 3 pounders, with a shore bombardment.
Over a dozen national papers called for a full investigation as well as the American Legion and several other groups. Israel to this day says it was a case of mistaken identify. Truth is, Israel didn’t want the U.S. snooping on their little war despite the fact the we subsidize every part of their infrastructure and to this day get more foreign aid than the rest of the countries combined.
I don’t mean so sound anti Israel but I feel the public is being duped by a biased media. The problem isn’t going to go away until somebody figures what the problem really is.
