A reflection on the anniversary of the attack against the USS Liberty

Yesterday was the 42nd anniversary of the brutal attack on the US Navy ship, The USS Liberty by the State of Israel. On that day 34  Americans were murdered in cold blood by the government of Israel. The US government and establishment media has for the last 42 years silenced any discussion of the attacks. Israel attacked the Liberty in order to blame it on Egypt and drag us into war on their behalf.

The Israeli government and propagandist in the media and US government have promoted the lie that the attack was an accident. That couldn’t be further from the truth. If Americans knew the truth it would challenge our close alliance and unconditional support for the state of Israel. The Americans who lost their lives and the survivors deserve justice and the American people deserve to know what happened. The powers that be do not want us to know the truth because it will challenge our unconditional support for Israel, which is a bases for much of our policy in the middle east. Our government has long put the interest of a foreign nation over our own.
