4:51 PM CST UPDATE We have received the following email located in the comments section that Joe is unharmed and are grateful. I await to hear his account in the future as you sure as heck can’t count on our “Israeli First” media.
5:08 PM CST UPDATE Ernie Gallo , Pres. of the Liberty Veterans Association has sent an email to John Gidusko of his USS Liberty Newsletter which reads as follows:
“I reluctantly call Jean Meadors to find out if she heard anything from Joe as my research turned up nothing. Jean told me that she called the state department and he is OK and not hurt. However, he is incarcerated by the Israelis. He was on a Greek ship SFEDONI which was not attacked by the IDF. Ambassador Peck who was part of the flotilla was released.
While we respectfully remember our 34 lost shipmates and others, we do have reason to celebrate as Joe is OK this Memorial Day. Say a prayer that Joe is released as soon as possible and returns home safe and sound.
God bless and warmest regards, Ernie Gallo”

Thank you so very much Marie for informing us for the information. -jd.
Joe’s AramcoBrat family has been following this terrible news. We received word from his family that he is unharmed and now in port. They had not yet spoken with him or the State Dept. directly.
I looked for an email address, so the family could contact you with firsthand information, but I can’t find one. Please feel free to email me, so I can pass your address on to the family,
Thank you and your fellow crew members, both surviving and passed, on this Memorial Day.
